I worked with Inge to redevelop the process and system guides for a performance management system that was used by close to 3000 public service employees.
My vision and knowledge of the process and Inge’s expertise and knowledge about instructional writing allowed us to combine the system help guides and the policy guides into one document and in turn dramatically reduced the content from over 180 pages and 30 documents to just 40 pages and 3 key documents. The previously somewhat onerous process became simple and easy for users to follow and received positive recognition and feedback through internal awards and has become a benchmark across the state governement.
Inge and myself have developed a great working relationship and over the time spent together I have been able to learn some extremely beneficial information which has improved my own writing style and has provided me with an eye for consistency through the development of word lists and templates.
